Dr Damien Megard has lived in many parts of Queensland throughout his life. Graduating in 1996 from the University of Queensland, he then completed two fellowships in General Practice and Rural & Remote Medicine in Queensland and the Northern Territory. As a good science student Dr Damien always knew he also wanted a career that involved helping people in a positive way, and becoming a GP was a natural choice.
With a vast knowledge in many areas, Dr Damien has special interests in: Gay Men’s Health, PREP & PEP, HIV, Sexual Health Checks (male and female) Travel Medicine & Vaccinations (including Yellow Fever), Preventative Health Care and Screening, Implanon Insertion & Removal and all aspects of General Practice.
Dr Damien believes in daily exercise to help destress, clear his mind and maintain his health. The host with the most, he is often cooking up a feast to share with his friends and family. When he’s not helping his patients, Dr Damien travels to third world areas, expanding his experience and tolerance.
